The Real Housewives of Lagos Season 3 continues to deliver its signature drama, with Episode 8 reigniting the longstanding conflict between Carolyna Hutchings, and new cast member Dabota Lawson.
In the latest episode, Carolyna, a prominent Nigerian businesswoman, real estate developer, and socialite, and a returning cast member making her second appearance on the show, addressed her complex history with Dabota, a Nigerian beauty entrepreneur and socialite. Carolyna firmly stated that reconciliation was impossible. “She insisted on seeing me, wanting to bond with me, but it is impossible. It cannot be possible,” Carolyna declared.
Carolyna recounted a past act of kindness towards Dabota during a difficult period in Dabota's life. However, she felt deeply betrayed when, following her own marital separation, she discovered Dabota celebrating in her former home. “I walked away from my matrimonial home, and months later, Dabota was there, dancing ‘One Corner’ like she was the next Mrs. But God answered them in a thousand and million ways,” Carolyna revealed.
She also highlighted her support for Dabota during the public scrutiny of her marriage, only to receive silence in return. “She never reached out to acknowledge how she hurt me or to apologise. But now, because she sees me in this group, looking fantabulous, she suddenly wants to bond? It doesn’t work that way.”
Carolyna emphasised that their relationship would remain distant, noting Dabota’s continued association with individuals involved in the past situation. “She wasn’t my friend then, and now she wants to be? Let’s just respect the boundaries,” she concluded.
The episode began at the wine-tasting event hosted by Sophia Momodu, a well-known Nigerian entrepreneur, socialite, and brand influencer. Notably absent were Dabota and Diadem, a newer addition to the cast and a socialite. At the event Laura Ikeji-Kanu, a Nigerian beauty entrepreneur, social media influencer, and author, also made a very dramatic entrance.
With these unresolved tensions and reopened wounds, The Real Housewives of Lagos Season 3 continues to enthral viewers, leaving them eager for the next episode.
New episodes air Sundays at 8 PM on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Channel 151 and GOtv Channel 8), with streaming available on Showmax every Monday
