Niyi Oyemade, a former Lagos State lawmaker, has raised concerns about an unauthorized building next to his property. The construction has caused structural damage to his home and poses a risk to residents. Despite a stop-work order, the building continues to rise.
The former lawmaker, who represented the people of Ikeja at the State House of Assembly, states that his house at 218 Close, Zone J, is directly affected. He has reported several violations and potential dangers, including the collapse of his fence wall.
Environmental experts warn that the reclaimed land could lead to future hazards. The ex-lawmaker calls for immediate intervention to protect residents and ensure compliance with building regulations. The construction company, Attarhi Nigeria Limited, is owned by Simeon Oladipo Adebo, Adedotun Rotimi Adeyemo, Obinna Anthony Chukwuneta, and Sower Sower And Messuarius Solicitors.
