Spurs Welcome Liverpool in High-Stakes Premier League Clash on Showmax

The spotlight shines on North London this weekend as Tottenham Hotspur hosts league leaders, Liverpool, in a match that could have a significant impact on the Premier League title race. Fans can stream the match live on Showmax.

Liverpool battled to a 2-2 draw against Fulham last weekend despite going down to 10 men in the first half. That result has seen their lead at the top of the table shrink to just two points, although they still hold a game in hand. Arne Slot’s men will seek to avoid further setbacks against Tottenham, who arrested their slide by beating Southampton 5-0 last weekend.

That result means they go into Sunday’s fixture with confidence. Ange Postecoglou’s men have shown their attacking prowess this season and will aim to challenge Liverpool’s title credentials with a strong performance in front of their home fans.

Meanwhile, Manchester City face a tricky away fixture to Aston Villa on Saturday. Pep Guardiola’s side will be desperate to bounce back after a frustrating 2-1 defeat in the Manchester Derby. City’s terrible form this season has left them playing catch-up in the title race, and dropping points against Villa could further complicate things.

Across London, Chelsea continue to stake their claim for the title.  Last weekend's 2-1 win over Brentford saw the Blues maintain their spot at second place, just two points behind Liverpool. They travel to Everton on Sunday, hoping to extend their unbeaten run and maintain pressure on the leaders. Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will aim to get back to winning ways after falling six points behind Liverpool in the standings.

Arsenal, currently third after a disappointing goalless draw against Everton, will face a resilient Crystal Palace side in Saturday’s late kickoff. The Gunners have struggled to convert dominance into goals in recent weeks and need a win to keep their title aspirations alive.

Elsewhere, Manchester United will look to build on their dramatic derby triumph against City when they host Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday. A second consecutive win could signal a turnaround for Ruben Amorim’s side, who are determined to climb back into European contention.

With the point tally at the top closer than before, this weekend takes on additional significance and promises plenty of drama.
